Around Christmas 2008
I love this photo for so many reasons, the main one being this was the beginning of a yearly tradition of silly Christmas cards! I had a promotion at the Target Portrait Center so we pretty much just had to use it. We decided it would absolutely wonderful to take some ridiculous Christmas photos. It took a little bit for our photographer to get on board with our plan, but once she was I think she had a lot of fun with them too. We sent this photo out to all of our friends and family, and half of them thought it was hilarious while the other half just thought we were crazy. However, after receiving so many goofy ones over the past five years I think they are starting to enjoy them too. It seems a little early but we've already started thinking about what we are going to do this year!

Wicked! No goofy traditions for us but every Christmas we come together and make a Christmas tree out of anything old. Last time, we used a dead plant and revive it with fairy lights/baubles!! xo

I love it! I would giggle for days if I received one of these in the mail. We've always wanted to do Christmas cards and we came close last year. Maybe this year will be the year!

This photo is so soulful, i think this ridiculous Christmas photo is beautiful. It has captured atmosphere very well with those expressions and Christmas sweaters:) Keep the goofy tradition alive!

ReplyDeleteAhh! This is totally our tradition too! We had a card very similar to this one. Usually most of our family think we're serious and actually believe we are really that tacky. haha So now we try to make it a little more obvious that it's supposed to be funny. All of our friends/family expect them every year now. It's so fun! I brainstorm a new one almost immediately after.
